There are Two Department of the Army decorations authorized exclusively to cadets:
ROTC Medal of Conduct and Etiquette
The ROTC Medal for Conduct and Etiquette is the highest Department of the Army medal awarded exclusively to Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps cadets. This award is presented to cadets who perform acts of superior conduct and etiquette well above the expected level.
Criteria for award
-Result in an accomplishment so exceptional/outstanding as to set a cadet apart
Superior Cadet Decoration Award
The Superior Cadet Decoration Award is the second highest Department of the Army medal awarded exclusively to Reserve Officers' Training Corps cadets. This award is presented annually to the outstanding cadet in each year of Military Science at each of the respective ROTC units.
Criteria for award
- Be a regularly enrolled ROTC cadet (MS IV cadets scheduled for midyear graduation will be considered)
- Demonstrate officer potential
